Friends of the Rosary:
Today we celebrate Palm and Passion Sunday and begin the solemnity of the Holy Week. Palms are distributed at Mass, and since they are blessed, they are sacramental.
Following the Jews’ example when Christ entered Jerusalem, we proclaim the victory of the Messiah, and we recognize His submission to the Cross defeating sin and the power of the Evil One.
We imitate his lesson of patient suffering knowing that earthly death is the beginning of true life. This Holy Week we want to humbly and sinfully share the Passion of the Christ and be like Simon of Cyrene who helps Him to carry the Cross.
For this purpose, we invoke the sorrowful Blessed Virgin Mary, co-redeemer and mediatrix of all grace, while we pray her Holy Rosary.
