Friends of the Rosary,

We live in a deeply polarized society. But the division goes beyond politics. Politics is only the tip of the iceberg. It is mostly a fight against Christianity. More precisely, it is a persecution against followers of the truth.

Non-believers want to suppress freedom and God-given life from the moment of conception to natural death. They want to impose their anti-Christian agenda. It is happening now, and it is happening since the First Coming, twenty-one centuries ago.

The Prince of Lies and his collaborators want to conquer souls by stealing what belongs to the Living God. In some countries like Ethiopia, they can kill you. In China, you can be imprisoned. In Europe, you will suffer the fury of the ideologies. In EE.UU. you might be ridiculed.

Since we fear and reject suffering, we mostly concede. We lack moral courage–the fruit of the third Sorrowful Mysteries. How do we resist the attack then?

Mostly, through prayer, by invoking the Holy Trinity, the Virgin Mary, and St. Michael the Archangel. Always with our Holy Rosary in-hand. We cannot forget that we are one family of children of God temporarily dwelling on Earth. We trust in Jesus and Mary.

For understanding that we are co-workers in the truth, as John says in his third letter today (3 JN 5-8)

For keeping alive the faith, resisting the attacks of the enemies of the soul. Jesus asks  in the reading today (LK 18: 1-8): “When the Son of Man comes, will he find faith on earth?”

For accepting the invitation of the Holy Spirit and rejoicing in this meditation of the Joyful Mysteries today.
